Privacy Policy

Technical draft prepared based on the actual platform architecture. To be reviewed by a legal/privacy consultant before final publication.

1. Data controller

2. Categories of data collected

We collect the following data:

  • Full name, email — at registration, to manage the account and provide the service
  • Password — handled by Firebase Authentication, never in plain text or visible to the platform operator
  • IP address, User-Agent — for each tracked operation, for security and technical audit
  • Access logs — at each login, for account security
  • Requested geographic area (GeoJSON polygon) — to provide the requested service
  • Flight video stream — only during the live broadcast, not recorded or stored

We do not collect payment data (transactions occur outside the platform), device geolocation data, or data from behavioral analytics tools.

3. Legal basis for processing

  • Name, email, account data, flight requests: performance of the contract/service requested (art. 6.1.b GDPR)
  • IP, User-Agent, access logs: legitimate interest of the Controller in platform security and abuse prevention (art. 6.1.f GDPR)

4. Data retention

  • Account data: for the duration of the active account, plus the time required by legal/tax obligations
  • Security logs: retained for 6-12 months, then deleted or anonymized
  • Video streaming: no retention, transient data

5. Recipients and sub-processors

  • Google Cloud Platform / Firebase (Google Ireland Ltd.) — infrastructure hosting, region europe-west1 (Belgium, EU)
  • Resend — transactional email delivery
  • OpenStreetMap / Leaflet — map visualization, does not receive personal data

We do not use payment providers, analytics tools, or third-party video platforms.

6. Extra-EU data transfer

The main infrastructure is hosted entirely within the European Union (Belgium).

7. Rights of the data subject

You can at any time request: access to your data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, portability, objection to processing based on legitimate interest. Write to info@stratobotic.com.

Requests are free of charge and will be answered within one month of receipt (extendable by an additional two months for complex requests). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (www.garanteprivacy.it).

8. Cookies and similar technologies

The platform uses only technical cookies/local storage strictly necessary for the operation of the service (session management via Firebase Authentication). No profiling or third-party statistical analysis cookies are present.

9. Data security

Data is stored on infrastructure with encryption at rest (database) and in transit (HTTPS on all user-platform connections). Passwords are never managed or visible to the Controller, being entirely delegated to the authentication provider.

10. Legal actions and requests from authorities

The user's personal data may be used by the Controller in court or in the phases preceding it, for abuses in the use of the platform. The Controller may be required to disclose personal data upon request of competent public authorities.

11. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated; the last update date is indicated at the bottom of the page. In case of substantial changes, registered users will be notified by email.
